Memorandum of Association

The name of the organization shall be CENTRE FOR RESEARCH UPTAKE IN AFRICA LTD
The registered office shall be located in Republic of Uganda
The Objectives of the organization shall be:

To be an innovative research center for which provides scientific knowledge and skills to the contemporary research needs for sustainable development using a multi-disciplinary approach.
To act as consultants in capacity building and training, project proposals, and technical reports, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning and management plans, agricultural extension services, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Auditing (EA), policy formulation and advocacy
To support agricultural supply chain systems in Uganda and across the world that addresses the current food insecurity and agricultural market failures and demands.
To be a policy think-tank that advocates and formulates policies and monitors their effective implementation to address live hood insecurity.
To support individual group and organizational talent intentions or actions in all various domains of knowledge enterprise including creative arts, consultation, guidance and residency for professional reflection, practice and evaluation.
To enhance personal abilities for professional growth, development and promote the well being of individuals and the society.
To advance the education of the general public in the appreciation of the various domains of knowledge enterprise including creative arts of the present day in all its branches.
To stage exhibitions, lectures, seminars, trips and events in all domains of knowledge enterprise including creative arts to further the object.

Carrying out any activities that are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the aforesaid objectives.
PROVED that nothing herein contained shall prevent the payment in good faith or remuneration to any officers or servants of the company or any other person in return for any services actually rendered to the company nor prevent the payment of interest on money borrowed or rent for any property leased or hired from any member or the company.
Every member of the company undertakes to contribute to the assets of the company in the event of the same being wound up while he is a member, or within one year after he ceases to be a member and the cost, charges, and expenses of winding up and for the adjustment of the rights of the contributions among themselves, such amount as may be required not exceeding USD50
